Narrow Aisle Forklift
Utilized to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage spaces that are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This type is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, such as retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering easy.
The operator of this kind of forklift generally stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This design allows for easy and fast maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts which are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment could pivot to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
An electric engine is used to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Machines which are electrically powered are not noisy and do not produce exhaust fumes, making them the suitable alternative for closed places like retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. However, the diesel model is not recommended for indoor use as it can be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
