Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Anaheim

Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Anaheim

Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift

Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to move materials and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that can raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.

Pallet trucks should be operated with care in order to prevent loss of control while raising heavy loads. Machine should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be stacked carefully to be able to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.

On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be in the middle in order to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.

Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and dragging it behind you. It is truly not safe to push the pallet ahead of you because the thrust can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
