Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts offer versatility and height. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person using it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Regular forklifts could not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to lift staff. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
